Elvy is the AI fitness assistant inside Elvyfit. You write to it like a chat and it can log a meal, suggest a routine, check your progress or replan your week. It always carries an AI label, introduces itself as not human and has clear limits.
What Elvy can do for you
Elvy does not just answer questions: it can use the app's tools to act on your data. That is the difference from a generic chatbot. You ask in plain language and the app carries out the change or proposes it.

How to use Elvy day to day
The point of an assistant is that it saves you steps. Here are three typical moments where Elvy spares you a trip through the screens.

Tell it what you had and it logs it. If you know you are having dinner out, it can propose a macro reserve.

Tell it you are traveling or your knee hurts and it proposes replanning or swapping an exercise.

Ask about your progress and it shows you a card with the data.
Who does what: the AI talks, the code decides
Elvy uses Gemini on Vertex AI, with European regions required by the server in production. But your routine and your diet are generated by the code with rules, not by the language model. The AI understands what you ask and writes the reply. The code validates and limits the arguments of each tool and applies the calorie floors.
Changes to your routine, meals and week are proposed on a card and you apply them yourself. There is one nuance: the first routine you ask for in chat is generated and saved directly. To learn more about how the roles are split, see the overview of the AI fitness app.
Safeguards that run before the model speaks
A detector based on rules and text patterns, with no AI, checks your messages before they reach the model. If it recognizes a crisis, a possible eating disorder, an extreme diet or compulsive exercise, it replies with fixed text and help resources, not an improvised answer. It may miss unusual wording and does not replace professional help.
Elvy does not give medical advice either. If your question is clinical, it points you to a healthcare professional. And it is not a person: if you want to know what an AI can and cannot do compared with a coach, read what an AI personal trainer is.
Consent, privacy and memory
AI consent is optional and comes unchecked when you create your account. The chat and the meal analysis need it, while the body analysis and the video technique analysis ask for their own specific consent before sending anything. You can withdraw it in Settings, under Privacy.
The context sent to the model does not include your name, your email or any identifier. Your messages do travel, and so do photos or videos if you use the features that analyze them. Your data is not used to train third party models.
Elvy's memory is a short summary and up to 20 brief facts. It does not store mental health or third party data. You can view it and delete it whenever you like in Settings.
Monthly quotas and Elvy alerts
The Free plan includes 5 messages per month with Elvy and Plus includes 200. Some AI features have their own quota, which you can check in the comparison on plans and pricing.
Elvy's alerts are free and active by default: absences, meal and workout reminders, the weekly report, streak defense and a welcome back after time away. Other alerts are optional and you have to turn them on: records, before training, planning, low protein and recovery. All of them respect quiet hours, pauses and travel mode.

What Elvy cannot do
It cannot create leagues or copy other people's plans. The chat needs a connection: it does not work without a network, and food photos and voice logging stay pending until it comes back. It can make mistakes, so always check what it logs before you rely on it.
The app is only in Spanish for now, and Elvy talks to you in that language.

Is the app available in English?
Not yet. The app and Elvy are only in Spanish for now. If you write to Elvy in another language, do not expect the app screens to follow.
