A workout streak that respects your rest days
The Elvyfit workout streak, called Constancia in the app (Spanish for consistency), counts the days you follow through on your plan and does not punish you for resting. It has freezes, milestones and a guilt free return after time away, so your motivation lasts longer than a week.
What counts as a completed day in your streak
A streak only motivates if it is fair. In Elvyfit, a day counts when you train, even if the session is improvised and was not in your plan. On a rest day, it counts if you log a meal, your weight or water.
The training day is not set by hand: the app infers it from your habit, when you have trained 2 or more times on that day of the week in the last 28 days. The day is set by your phone's clock, not universal time.
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You train, even if improvised | The day counts. |
| Rest day with a meal, weight or water log | The day counts. |
| Rest day with no log | Neutral: it does not break the streak. |
| Training day with no session | It breaks the streak or uses a freeze. |
Rest days do not break the streak
Rest is part of training, and a streak that punishes it pushes people to train injured or exhausted. That is why a rest day with no log is neutral: it neither adds nor subtracts. How often you should train is covered in the article on how many days a week to train.
What does break the streak is missing a planned training day without covering it with a freeze or a pause. That clarity matters: you know in advance what counts and what does not, and there is no fine print to surprise you on a Tuesday night.
Freezes and active pauses
A freeze protects your streak when you miss a training day. It is a margin for real life: a cold, an impossible workday, a short trip. You earn one automatically per 14 days of streak and you can hold a maximum of 2. They work the same on every plan.
An active pause, for example for a trip or an injury, protects the streak without using any freezes. Elvy can also turn on pauses from the chat, as described on the page about Elvy, the AI fitness assistant.

Milestones, calendar and achievements
The streak marks milestones at 7, 30, 60, 100, 200 and 365 days. You get a monthly calendar to see your consistency, and there are 29 achievements spread across the app. You can also jump into a challenge with friends from the Elvyfit community.
When a streak ends, the message does not scold you: it reminds you of your best streak and invites you to start another. Losing a long streak hurts, which is why we keep your record: what you did still counts.
Coming back after time away, without punishment
Stopping is normal: work, illness, vacations. If you miss 5 to 10 days, you get a comeback notice, with no guilt. The comeback plan then adjusts your weights and sets according to the days of break: very short breaks change nothing, while longer breaks lower the weights and the volume, so you come back with reasonable loads instead of picking up where you left off. More ideas in the article on getting back to the gym after a break.
The tone of the alerts stays the same: no guilt and no drama. The goal is for you to train again soon, not to make up for lost time with a heroic session.
Streak alerts and reminders
If your streak is at risk, you get an alert between 8 and 10 p.m., with time left to train or log something. Reminders respect quiet hours, pauses and travel, and you can adjust or turn them off at any time.
These alerts are part of Elvy's free alerts, active by default. The iPhone and Android widgets show your consistency on the home screen.
What to know
A streak is a tool, not an obligation. If it makes you anxious or pushes you to train with an injury, take an active pause and talk to a healthcare professional if you need to. Nobody should feel guilty for resting.
The streak is only a measure of regularity: it does not tell you whether your training is good and it does not promise results. For now the app is available in Spanish only.

Is the app available in English?
Not yet. The app is only in Spanish for now, including streak messages and alerts. The streak rules themselves work the same for all users.
